Welcome to this week’s Talking the Blues Podcast with George and Andy Costigan, recorded just prior to the release of Everton’s 2022/23 accounts. We look in detail at the ownership issues still surrounding Everton, the details behind MSP’s potential control option and of course, the extremely disappointing day at Bournemouth.

As ever thanks for listening –  or reading, the transcript will be released on Monday.

  1. I was hurt leaving the ground yesterday.

The great escape x 5. Just win games then we can all breath and sleep. My dogs are very concerned about me and slept with me when I eventually got home.

All other clubs have been at it. We are not alone. If they lift the lid, they will have to charge many more that Everton and Nottingham Forest.

Moshiri is gone. The lights are out. Rumours are he will walk away without taking a penny.

Keep going Paul. Your views are respected, and I love listening to the podcasts.

We lack much needed leadership and strategy so the sooner something happens the better.

The 3000 supporters will be there tomorrow night having travelled to the south coast on Saturday. We have over 147 steps to climb tomorrow night. The immediate first world problem concern for me as it is a proper lick out for those who have done it. Excuse the pun but you certainly get your steps in.

Proper regulation is required for the Premier League. Not this made up as they go along so called regulation. It needs the DCMS to step in and hold them accountable.

The ownership, or what remain are custodians. Well, if we can call them ownership let alone leadership. It is our club. The supporters. Bournemouth to Newcastle in three days and another night match in the northeast. Sold out beyond Chelsea away.

I’m still a bit undecided on Godfrey’s position. And I’m unsure about what is going on with Patterson. It kind of reminds me of when Seamus joined and we played him in a more forward position. Maybe that’s what we need to do for now.

Good to see Lewis Warrington closer to the first team squad. He has a great range of passing and football brain.
