  1. there was no way Coventry City were going to be allowed to beat United
if you still cannot see what is going on in professional football then there’s nothing more I can say or do
by supporting it you are actually colluding with it
your values and beliefs and emotions are inextricably linked with what I call tyranny
    you do have a choice
who and what are you supporting – it’s illusory and you are increasingly appearing delusional

  2. Hi fellas,

Having listened to you every episode for well over 2 seasons now it is apparent that a lot of what Paul has warned off has happened and is continuing to happen. After this episode and the passionate plea to evertonians to do something as the football club is threatened with going out of existence, I was left with one huge question. What is it you expect the fanbase to do now? You are talking to fans that vociferously protest and voice their concern. You are talking to fans that lead the way in warning other fanbases of the threats. You are talking to 39000 plus fans who boo the PL anthem in unison, fly planes over stadiums, march with banners, camp outside PL headquarters etcetcetc. I repeat. What is it you expect us to do? In my mind the only options are praying for a rich owner/fan/ consortium to arrive and for the cycle to continue, or to reform ala FC United which maybe a few thousand would?

  3. Hi Paul, following on from your impassioned monologue (my take away from that is that you know something bad which I don’t), what do you make of the news that Everton is apparently seeking a third party to assist 777 to buy the club?……

To me, this is just another example of Moshiri wanting out at all costs – why would the club seek finance on a potential buyer’s behalf? Surely, any arrangement of this type would simply saddle the club with more debt? Do you think this is related to Colin Chong’s recent statement that Everton will retain a majority stake in Bramley Moore (and so its implicit confirmation that it plans to sell a large chunk of the stadium)?
