  1. Excellent podcast – thanks to all for going through the issues. The figure of 1 million a week in interest is eye watering. Annoying that 9 months has been wasted on a wild goose chase.
Seems like Moshiri is now at the s$%^ or get off the pot stage.

  2. That Bell & Downey offer may well be under threat if the story breaking now (Sat evening), that another party has joined the proceedings is true – Vatche Manoukian – London based has reportedly offered a £400m full equity deal.

I’d still favour Bell & Downey but I think the important thing here is that Moshiri has two or three really viable offers to consider. MSP have apparently rejoined the race with a further consortium too. They all appear to have the appropriate history and I’m pretty sure they all see the value of the BMD site alongside the potential development that could happen.

Given their links and business acumen, perhaps Bell & Downey are best placed to recognise the full potential of the location so it might still come down to who offers FM the best short term return and perhaps a longer term minority interest.

We all have favourites but it’s not at all negative that two or three consortiums recognise the club for what it could be again.

Let’s hope Mr Moshiri does the honourable thing and figures out what is best for EFC and the City – in that order.

    Regards

    Keith

  3. Shame George (I think) stepped in and stopped you explaining why the people involved with this bid are best placed to run our football club. Their main qualifications, beside wealth would appear to be ‘loosing it’ whilst in their expensive seats at the ground. Surely 30 to 40000 thousand of us can match them there, without the wealth and expensive seats obviously? What will stop them from becoming Moshiri part 2? I can only go with what I know and I would conclude that MSP still look best qualified to take our club forward sensibly. Pity you didn’t go on to say why you think this is now not the case.

  4. Great podcast but I’m so disappointed that when you were just about to explain why Andy Bell and George Downing would be the best choice as new owners, George or Andy stopped you and wanted to know more about Moshiri!!

Please do another podcast just about Bell, Downing and MSD. 🙏🏻

Another thoroughly absorbing “Talking the Blues” podcast last night, Paul was in full flow and
about to explain his reasons for the acceptance of the Andy Bell, George Downing bid when he
was sidelined by George who wanted to talk more about Moshiri.
I have a lot of time and respect for Paul, the hours and hours he spends in trying to explain the
monetary aspects regarding Everton to financial simpletons like myself, would it be possible in the next podcast to hear Paul’s views on the reason he is in favour of the Andy Bell, George
    Downing bid.
Next season will be my 70th at Goodison (Tommy Eglinton, Peter Farrell, Dave Hickson) making
the journey up from the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales, it has been pretty grim the last few years
but maybe there’s a chink of light at the end of the tunnel.
