We then turn our attention to management changes, the Director of Football, the Academy and the potential role Coleman my have to play going forwards.

George spot on about Moyes. It would be a huge backwards step to appoint him as interim, totally lacking in ambition. Evertonians need and crave something new and positive, the exact opposite of what Moyes would give us. I was never a big believer in Moyes, even if people hark back to him now because of the pitiful state of the club. He was such a negative manager, especially away from home. He should have been sent packing after we lost 5-1 to Dinamo Bucharest, but Everton being Everton, we clung onto mediocrity instead of taking affirmative action. That’s why we have performed better than Liverpool in just 5 of the last 50 years, even though we are (or were) a similar sized and resourced club.
