  1. Enjoyed your discussions as always. I’m a big fan of Moyes as you are Paul. However, the photo of him smiling with Haaland after the game really disappointed me. This just suggests he’s comfortable with a narrow defeat which is not acceptable. I agree with Andy and George that Moyes should be more proactive and just try something different. It just seems like damage limitation!

  2. Thanks, as ever, for an interesting discussion. It appears that you all, like the fanbase as a whole, have reached an impasse with regards to Moyes. Some like him, want him at the helm, and support him. Some aren’t big fans, and question if he is the manager to take us forward. Whichever side you are on, the simple truth is that under Moyes, we won’t be very exciting, we are highly unlikely to win a trophy (he had 11 years previously to do this and didn’t) and we won’t win away at City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and Liverpool. However, we also won’t get relegated. So I suppose it comes down to how ambitious you are as a fan. For me personally, I want a manager who surprises me, is tactically ambitious, and knows how to take the game to the opposition. And that’s not Moyes.

  3. On another note, the official attendances at our four home league games this season are:

    BHAFC 51,759
    AVFC 52,114
    WHU 51,890
    CPFC 51,770

My question: why this is so, when the Box Office and EFC have said all these games were sold out?

    I think either:

-SeatUnique, who are given a number of seats to sell as part of a premium package, are not selling.

-Everton are not providing walk-up tickets because they wish to sell memberships at £35 or £60, instead of filling the stadium with fans who don’t have a membership

Either way, it’s a bit disappointing to see so many empty seats.
