Talking the Blues Podcast – Spurs (a) a desperate end to the 2025/26 season

Welcome to the final Talking the Blues Podcast of the 2025/26 season when we ask some pretty fundamental questions of the club, the direction in which we are going, and just how competitive are we in every aspect of running a modern day football club.

David Moyes does not get a free ride but also much bigger questions are asked about the owners and what the current purpose of the club is?

As ever, thanks for listening, Talking the Blues is available subscription and advert free on all major podcast platforms.

  1. Guys, sadly frustration and acceptance that Everton simply find new ways to embarras us, is now the norm.

I listened to this pod cast and when you all expressed the opinion that we have been rinsing and repeating for years, and that we need people who understand the modern game of football, I found myself screaming for gods sake, we have a new board, new CEO, new scouting and coaching staff at junior level, or am I mistaken?

It does not seem to matter what we do, it never works.

I agree that David Moyes is not the person to take us forward, even if the Friedkins gave him copious amount of money to spend in the market. Sadly we will end up with overage, injury prone recruitment’s.

We have a great opportunity to go and break the bank and bring in Ireola, Glaser etc, but we will do an Everton…….more of the same!!!

  2. I suppose what I am trying to say guys, but making a bad job of it, is that Everton have got the whole fan base so frustrated and bewildered, that even clearly intelligent men like yourselves can’t see the wood for the trees. Please don’t take that as an insult, as that is not what it is meant to be. I just feel that over the last few pod casts, you have also rinse and repeated in your assessment of what is needed 😊
