Talking the Blues Podcast – the Goodison (men’s) finale and much more

Welcome to this week’s Talking the Blues Podcast in which we look back on the final fixture for the men’s team at Goodison. What a momentous day, and what credit our fans are to the City and our Club. Ultimately, we are the Club!

“The ink is dried, the final act is done, but shadows linger, memories begun. Goodison still stands, a witness to the years, where laughter, tears and passion held their spheres”

As always, with Andy Costigan and George. Our podcasts are free from subscription and advertising! The transcript is available here.

  1. Hi Paul, I only discovered this show last year and have enjoyed it very much. However, I listened to your last episode with disbelief as your cohort lambasted David Moyes for his non-attacking mentality. This, mind you, in a game that we scored 2 with a further 2 goals ruled offside! After the negative dross served up in the awful Dyche years, I personally, am grateful – extremely so, for Mr Moyes return. Unlike your cohort, I am not going to demand instant pie-in-the-sky championship wins. I am just going to enjoy the fact that we still have a club, that we are investing in the future, and that someone came along in the nick of time to save the season. Up the Toffees.

  2. Another enjoyable listen Paul, Andy & George. You have nailed what it means to be a blue 💙

One ask for the future please. Can you not refer to the alleged headlock incident as headlockgate.

I despair that in this country, the media put “gate” on the end of every incident. Let’s leave that to the easily lead people of America!!!
