Welcome to another edition of Talking the Blues Podcast with Andy Costigan and his brother George. We look back on a disappointing night at Anfield (how many times has that been written?), look at what is needed for survival before looking at identity and culture. When a player walks into Goodison as an Everton player for the first time, who tells him what he is joining? Who sets the Everton identity?

I am glad you all felt the same way I did, absolutely gutted at such an abysmal performance, instead of just putting it down to the venue, the opposition or the occasion. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing at Anfield, in such an important game. We literally handed an out of form Liverpool their confidence back on a plate. Quite what the players had in mind, and what Dyche asked them to do, is beyond me. I’m still gobsmacked at how bad it was. Every single player was a 1/10 or less, and it’s not often you can say that.
you are all to blame for continually paying to go and watch this club – you are all supporting the corrupt wreckage that is everton – time to walk away me thinks
