Great listen as always gents. A couple of thoughts, I hope that’s ok.
To answer Paul’s qn of who is going to score 20 goals. Provided Moyes favours him from the start and provided he stays injury free: Thierno Barry. That may be preseason optimism, but the rationale would be 1. Its his second season in the PL (see Thiago) 2. He was carrying a shoulder injury for much of last season. 3. The service from MF will be better. 4. He fits Moyes “system” better than others and we cant spend 60m-80m on a better option.
Why is RB important? You touched on this, but the club spent 40m on Tyler Dibling, who in contrast to Ndiaye is a continuity type player. Pass and move rather than beat a man with skill. Last season the nearest players in the formation was a fullback who as a Centre Half wouldn’t overlap and KDH who tends to drift to the left side. Its no coincidence that Dibling’s best game was Forest away if you look at the team selection that day.
As always a good listen. Agree with main points from all of you. We need a striker, right back and positivity. We desperately need to attack with pace and support the front player, especially if it’s a hoof up the field because we haven’t got a decent striker.
